Exciting news for the Texas Digital Library (TDL) community! To ensure everyone has ample time to share their “Playful Innovation” and recognize outstanding colleagues, we have extended the deadlines for the 2026 Texas Conference on Digital Libraries (TCDL) and the annual TDL Awards.

New Important Deadlines

  • TCDL 2026 Proposals: Now due Monday, February 9, 2026.
  • 2026 TDL Awards Nominations: Now due Monday, February 16, 2026.

Call for Proposals: Finding Joy!

We invite you to submit your ideas for TCDL 2026, taking place June 2-4, 2026, in Austin, TX. This year’s theme, “Finding Joy! Playful Innovation and Community in Action,” explores how creativity and experimentation can transform our work.

Submission Details:

  • Presentation Types: Traditional sessions, posters, workshops, and member group meetings.
  • NEW for 2026: Presenters can opt-in to a peer-reviewed Short Paper option to be published in the conference proceedings.
  • How to Submit: View the full Call for Proposals (CFP) and use the Proposal Submission Form to send in your abstract before the new February 9 deadline. 

2026 TDL Awards: Celebrate Your Peers

Do you know a project or individual making waves in digital scholarship, preservation, or access? Help us shine a light on their impact by submitting a nomination.

Award Highlights:

  • Eligibility: Open to anyone based in Texas; affiliation with a TDL member institution is not required for most categories.
  • Categories: Includes Excellence, Individual Impact, Outreach, and Scholarly Communication Impact.
  • Winner Perks: Award winners receive complimentary registration for TCDL 2026.
  • How to Nominate: Review the TDL Awards and complete the TDL Awards Nomination Form before the new February 16 deadline.
