Apply for the Student Scholarship #TCDL2026
The Texas Digital Library (TDL) is excited to announce that applications are now open for the TCDL 2026 Student Scholarship.
We are offering five (5) complimentary registrations for the 2026 Texas Conference on Digital Libraries (TCDL), held from June 2-4 in Austin, TX. This year’s theme, “Finding Joy! Playful Innovation and Community in Action,” celebrates the vibrant community of digital scholarship across Texas.

- What: Five (5) complimentary registrations for TCDL 2026
- Who: Students currently enrolled in a Texas iSchool or LIS program
- Deadline: Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CST

Why Should You Apply?
TCDL provides a unique space for professional development and networking. As a scholarship recipient, you will:
- Network: Meet and mingle with librarians, archivists, technology staff, and library administrators.
- Learn: Gain insight into new trends in digital preservation, research, and cultural heritage.
- Get Support: Be paired with a conference buddy—an experienced attendee who will help you navigate sessions and connect with the community.
Eligibility & Requirements
To be eligible, you must be based in Texas or affiliated with a Texas institution as a student or staff member.
- Personal Statement: A brief 250-word statement on what you hope to gain from the conference.
- Travel & Lodging: Please note that scholarships cover registration only. Recipients are responsible for their own travel. Be sure to check the special hotel rates for TCDL 2026 before booking.
Giving Back: Post-Conference Engagement
Recipients help enrich our community by completing one of the following:
- Present a Poster: Share your work (practicum posters are welcome!). See poster support details for more info.
- Write for the Blog: Contribute a reflection or session summary to the TDL Blog.
- Propose an Idea: Have another creative way to share your experience? We are open to suggestions!
Winners will be notified by May 4, 2026, and recognized during the TDL Awards Ceremony at the conference. Even if you have already registered, you can still apply; if selected, TDL will refund your registration fee.
